«PLASTPROTEKT» - a pipe in a pipe for the delivery of gaseous fuel

The pipes “Plastprotekt” are multilayer pipes: the outer protective coating is made of PE 100 RC, while the pressure one - PE 100. PE 100 RC pipes seem to be more resistant to crack propagation and external loads than products made of ordinary PE 100. Composition of PE 100 RC is specially designed for extrusion of pipes, laid with alternative methods (usually trenchless).

The pipes “Plastprotekt” are more resistant to crack propagation and external loads than products made of ordinary PE 100.

 


The pipes made of PE 100 RC are recommended for use in laying with alternative methods (e.g. laying in trenches without sand bedding and backfilling, with the possibility of reusing the removed soil, as well as trenchless laying methods) due to the high viscosity of the extrusion alloy, long-term hydrostatic resistance , exceptional resistance to long-term loads and high resistance to crack propagation.

The pipes “Plastprotekt” for transporting gas fuel are made of pressure pipes with diameters DN 20-DN 800 (mm).

It is allowed to use any standard SDR obtained for S series pipes, established in accordance with ISO 4065

Plastprotekt pipes meet the requirements of PN EN 1555-2

 

Layers of the pipe "Plastprotekt":

  • incombustible;
  • antistatic;
  • resistant to mechanical damage;

The estimated service life of "Plastprotekt" pipes is 100 years.

 

The "Plastprotekt" pipes are joined by welding (with a butt-welding machine or by means of electrofusion couplings).

 

The protective coating is resistant to mechanical damage. The depth of scratches / cuts in the protective coating is allowed to be up to 75% of its thickness. Thanks to special additives, the protective coating can be: antistatic, incombustible or contain UV stabilizers, etc.
